Under The Milky Way’s international network is made of film industry professionals allying experiences in production, distribution and marketing. All film-enthusiasts and fervent users of new technologies, our network is both experimented an multicultural, with offices in both Europe and North America.

Pierre-Alexandre Labelle (co-founder)
Originally from Canada, Pierre-Alexandre Labelle immigrated in France in 2001 while working as a derivatives trader for Cargill (2001-2004). He became interested in Film distribution, and played an active role in the creation and development of UniversCiné as Project Manager and then as Head of Marketing and International Development (2005-2008). In parallel, in 2007, he launched the Glitner Project (collaborative platform for European VoD rights-holders), and was appointed Deputy Manager of the European Producers Club in 2009. He now is fully dedicated to the development of Under The Milky Way.

Jérôme Chung (co-founder)
Jerome Chung worked in the Entertainment and Contents industry since the beginning of his career in different marketing, sales and distribution functions (Universal Music, La Fnac) and then as General Manager of business units within Media Groups. Notably, in 1996, he created WARNER VISION FRANCE, the first video publisher entirely devoted to musical and non-film programmes in DVD format. He then joined the CANAL+ Group in 1999 to manage the Video and Music divisions of STUDIOCANAL, its feature film production and distribution branch. In 2006, he collaborated as senior consultant for the development of the VoD platform UniversCiné, dedicated to independent films producers and distributors. In June 2008, he joined the Medici Arts group as director of business development of the medici.tv digital platform which exploits an On Demand web channel VoD service of classical music programs, before launching Under The Milky Way.

Alexis de Rendinger (co-founder)
Alexis is a veteran of CANAL+, both in Europe and the United States, Alexis combines a deep knowledge of the entertainment business with extensive relationships with the main players and executives in the digital content distribution area. Alexis has managed STUDIOCANAL’s catalogue transition to digital platforms in the United States and Canada.

Philippe Struyven
Philippe Struyven always worked in the entertainment sector. After being Sales Manager in a few music rack-jobbing companies, he went to RCA Records were he released the company’s first CDs and DVDs. He was then appointed Managing Director Benelux for Sony. He developed the DVD business, released Playstation and was subsequently appointed President of Sony Home Entertainment in London. He then launched the Blu Ray in Europe. In 2007 he started his own company and joined Under The Milky Way in 2010 to manage Benelux operations.

Océane Portal
Océane is responsible for Under The Milky Way’s activities in France and oversees the coordination of international releases both internally and with platforms. Before joining Under The Milky Way, she graduated from a Bachelor in European Business from Hull University (England) and holds a Master Degree in Global Management from Kedge Business School (France). Her previous work experience includes some time at Canalplay, as a marketing coordinator.

Vincent Lucassen
Vincent Lucassen was born in the Netherlands. He studied sociology at the University of Wageningen and worked as a lobbyist in Brussels. After finishing his study at the Media Academy in Hilversum he moved to Vienna where he set up the production company WILDart FILM. In 2001 he co-founded dok.at, the Association for the Austrian Documentary Film, in 2004 he created DocuZone Austria – a collaboration between right holders to promote films in the age of digital. DocuZone was part of the world’s first international digital cinema network: CinemaNet Europe. In 2011, Vincent became part of Under the Milky Way, and is responsible for Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Eastern- and South-Eastern Europe.

Pascale Dillemann
Born in France, Pascale moved to Madrid (Spain) and worked for more than 10 years in Press notably by participating in the creation and launch of newspapers and magazines.
Since 1997, she has been involved simultaneously in various positions in the Spanish film industry, in distribution (BMG Entertainment) and production (Starline production, Morena films) as Head of Festivals, Press and Promotion, and Post-production coordinator for feature films including :
“También la Lluvia” (Even the Rain). “Le Moine (The Monk) , “Che el argentino” ”Che Guerrilla” (S. Soderbergh) , “Bon Appétit” , “Celda 211″ (Cell 211), “Habitación en Roma” (Room in Rome), “Carne de neón” (Neon Flesh), “La Zona” (The Zone),”Ausentes” (The Absent), “Cachorro” (Bear Cub) or “Carmen”.
In 2011, she joined Under The Milky Way to manage the Spanish, Portuguese and then Latin American operations.

Teun Hilte
Teun Hilte, born in The Netherlands, moved to London in 1996 and attended the National Film & Television School. After gaining experience in film distribution through an internship at Fine Line Features, he founded Clockwork Pictures in 1999 and went on to produce Paul Verhoeven‘s “Black Book” amongst other, international co-productions. At the end of 2006, Teun co-founded Content Republic, specialising in the aggregation of digital filmrights. In the summer of 2012 he joined Under The Milky Way, where he is responsible for UK operations.

Fumiko Nagata
After graduated university, she started her carrier as an assistant director for radio programs in Kyoto. In 2005, she left Japan and lived in USA for a year and worked for a film festival in Washington DC. After she went back to Japan, she worked for some film festivals and in 2006, she joined Nippon Television Network Corporation and had worked as a Japanese film seller for about 5 years. In 2010, she moved to France and started working for Free Stone Productions, which is a Japanese film sales agency as a film seller.  In 2013, she joined Under the Milky Way to take care of Japanese clients.

Muriel Joly
Muriel Joly graduated in politics (« Sciences Po »), in strategic management (ESCP EUROPE) and holds a Degree of Cinema Economy (La Sorbonne). She began her career at StudioCanal (Canal + Group) first in the Domestic Home entertainment department, as a product manager (2004-2006), and then as a marketing VP for international Home Entertainment (2006-2009). After 2 years (2010-2011) in consulting where she became interested in issues of the Video on Demand emerging market, she became in charge of marketing development for Canalplay, the VOD brand of Canal + group . She is now in charge of business development for Under The Milky Way.

Arnaud Réauté
Graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique of Palaiseau with a Master’s Degree in Science and Engineering specialized in Innovation Management, Arnaud has joined Under The Milky Way in 2013. He is in charge of the Business Analytics aspects and the development of the film acquisitions strategy of the company.

Juliana De Souza
Juliana, born in Brazil, studied Film & Media, English and French at Georgetown University. Juliana previously worked with Lionsgate (London and EFM-Berlin), Protagonist Pictures (AFM-Los Angeles) and A24 (New York), where she gained insight into domestic and international theatrical film sales and marketing. At UMW, she is currently overseeing our operational and development activities in Latin America, now based in Rio de Janeiro.

Mounia Chiboub
Mounia Graduated from EM Lyon and holds a master’s degree in Strategic Management. She began her career in 2010 as a Consultant in Strategy and Management in Paris where she worked on various projects involving financial institutions. She then moved to New York in 2014 to Join Kurt Salmon, a US Consulting Company dedicated to Retail and Financial Services. She interacted with a various range of clients while providing advisory services. Passionate about film, she joined Under The Milky Way as Distribution and Marketing Manager for the US and Canada.

Aleksandra Czyz
Born in Poland, Aleksandra came to France in 2012 for her studies. After a Master’s degree in History of Cinema, she joined HEC Paris in order to gain a deeper understanding of business aspects of cinema. While her previous festival experience prepared her to deal with ever-changing situations, her first steps at Gaumont allowed her to grasp both sales and technical issues. She currently oversees front and back office activities for Italy and UK.

Laurent Granier
After graduating from European Business School in Paris, Laurent studied in the department Production of ESRA. In 2010, he joined Noodles Production as production coordinator and has participated in many short and feature movies. Recently, he worked as technical and servicing supervisor for French distribution and international sales companies. At UMW, he is in charge of servicing management for the digital supply chain.

Christophe Pelletier
After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies at Université de Montréal, Christophe completed a Master’s degree in Management of Cultural Organizations, at HEC Montréal. Having previously worked for independent film distributors in Montréal, Christophe joined Under the Milky Way, to coordinate distribution and marketing operations in Canada and the US.

Sarah Fontaine
Before joining Under The Milky Way, Sarah graduated from Panthéon-Sorbonne University with a master in Digital, Media, Cinema, and has accumulated several experiences at MK2 Films, SND, Indie Sales and TF1 Studio. She is responsible for the distribution in France and Australia, and oversees the coordination of international releases.
